Happy Friday! Today is National Clean Out Your Medicine Cabinet Day.
Founded in 2019, National Clean Out Your Medicine Cabinet Day is observed annually on the third Friday in April to raise awareness about the risks of keeping expired or unused medications, such as accidental poisoning or misuse. It encourages safe disposal of prescription and over-the-counter drugs, often aligning with the DEA's National Drug Take Back Day.

Money stress is hitting Gen Z hard — and it’s not just about budgeting, it’s affecting their mental health in a big way. A new study found that 65% of young adults say financial worries are damaging their mental health, leading to stress, anxiety, and even disrupted sleep.
Many also feel unprepared, with most wishing they had learned more about managing money, credit, and bills before adulthood, pointing to a major gap in financial education.
The result? A generation trying to figure out real-world responsibilities while already feeling overwhelmed by the pressure of getting it “right.”

Good news for anyone who hates cardio or lifting — you don’t have to choose. A new study found that both strength training and cardio are equally effective at improving depression, with all forms of exercise showing real mental-health benefits.
Researchers also found exercise had a moderate positive impact on anxiety, with strength training showing a slight edge — but overall, movement itself is what really matters. The biggest takeaway? You don’t need the “perfect” workout plan — whether it’s weights, running, or a mix, consistency is what helps your mood.

Country star Lainey Wilson is opening up about a time when her rising career pushed her to a breaking point — including a days-long panic attack fueled by burnout, pressure, and nonstop touring. She revealed that she once worked with three different therapists, including one focused on communication and boundaries, to help her manage both personal stress and the demands of her career.
Her experience highlights how success doesn’t always equal stability — especially when you’re constantly “on” and navigating high expectations. Now, she’s focused on listening to her body, setting boundaries, and speaking up when she’s struggling, encouraging others to do the same.
✏ Fears and Phobias
Peniaphobia (pe-nee-uh-FOH-bee-uh) is an intense, irrational fear of losing financial security and becoming destitute. It often causes a “scarcity mindset”, leading to hoarding cash, extreme saving, or avoiding risks.
Overcoming this fear involves taking control through budgeting, tracking expenses and educating yourself, distinguishing reality vs. fear, practicing gratitude to move to an abundance mindset, and seeking help to address root causes if the fear becomes paralyzing.
